Namibia is a gigantic vast territory almost twice the size of France, it is one of the least populated countries in the world. It has less than three million inhabitants. On the chaotic roads of the northwest of the country, and under a blazing sun, women of the Himba tribe go to a funeral crammed into the back of an old pick-up. His women live in traditional dress all year round, whether they are in the desert or in the supermarket, their bodies like their hair are coated in red powder mixed with grease. An outfit that is not to the taste of another tribe, the Herero women dress like the Germans of the beginning of the 19th century and they do not hesitate to point out to the Himba that it is daring to walk around naked in front of everyone. world! But the Himba have many other worries, in this almost desert country, water is sorely lacking, the women travel the desert and fill their cans in the puddles formed by too rare rains. Others transport the precious liquid in outdated trucks, they travel through the bush to deliver water to isolated villages. But in Namibia, breaking down on the side of the track is a mortal danger.
